Vision and Strategic Objectives

We have adopted a vision and three objectives to achieve our strategic aims:

The Herefordshire Infrastructure Consortium has a vision of

A strong, vibrant and effective voluntary and community sector in herefordshire

The Consortium’s contribution to growing this will be to

OBJECTIVE 1

Help voluntary organisations and community groups to influence local and regional strategy and policy.

We will achieve this by:
  1. Facilitating and supporting the ‘voices’ of the sector
  2. Driving forward strategy and policy development

OBJECTIVE 2

Ensure that support services are fit for purpose and easily accessible.

We will achieve this by:
  1. Leading and empowering start up and development
  2. Co-ordinating information, advice and assistance to meet identified needs

OBJECTIVE 3

Build collaborative mechanisms to deliver the other two objectives:

We will achieve this by:
  1.     Building a consortium fit for purpose
  2.     Establishing strong links with partners and stakeholders

We have adopted Shared Principles:
This Strategy aims to consolidate the work and will be reviewed on an annual basis. A Next Steps Action Plan is in development to implement the Strategy and to develop a Joint Infrastructure Services Delivery Plan.

The Consortium has recently developed a 10-year strategy that spells out what it is trying to achieve.
